THE COLLEGE OF IDAHO:

The College of Idaho, located in Caldwell, is Idaho’s oldest liberal arts college.  With the City of Caldwell growing, we aren’t surprised that the College is growing as well.  By February, C of I will have a brand new library facility.  This new construction project will double the library’s size (to 60,000 sq. ft.) enabling the site to be more flexible and support technology.

INDIAN CREEK PLAZA:

Caldwell is in the news again.  This time for the ice skating rink that will be going in at the highly anticipated Indian Creek Plaza.  Ice piping for the rink was installed the beginning of November!

The ice skating rink will also have an ice ribbon (trail) that will head off from one side and return to the rink on the other side. (So cool!)

The Indian Creek Plaza will be an open space where the public can enjoy local concerts, shopping, dining and other fun events in Downtown Caldwell.

Could Indian Creek Plaza be the next Meridian Village?
We are excited to find out.

TECH IN BOISE:

More tech companies are moving & setting up shop in beautiful Boise.  Seeking lower costs and higher employee retention, the New York software company, Avant Garde Information Solutions has planted some roots in the Treasure Valley.

The company has 10 employees total, with three of them being in Boise.  President, Michael Bethuy in Boise, is looking for the type of experienced employees you’d see moving out of New York City for cities with lower cost of living.  He says that those type of employees cost up to $200,000 per year in New York.  In the Treasure Valley, Bethuy can pay someone between $60,000 and $90,000 and still be above the industry average.

The company will keep their New York marketing team, but Bethuy sees a lot of potential in Boise’s technology pool.
