3 day seminar realization

This seminar i went to really opened my eyes on a bigger picture of real estate investing. My main take on it was that having a system in place will guid you to success. In doing so they showed us their system, example, they showed us how they do a scope of work in 5 min. Simply by plugging in everything in their template that calculates costs etc etc and boom, there you have it, a scope of work is made to present to your contractor and start rehabbing your house in a timely manner. Another example is their contracts, again they have a template for every contract that will need to be signed in the proses of being a real estate investor, you just plug in the info that usually changes like the names, address, etc. etc. During this 3 day process they had us believe that we too could have access to those templates that they created. That thought was short lived. Then realizing that if we wanted access to those tools and then some we would have to be "accepted" in to their mastery program in which they would help you through every process. Biggest problem is that program cost $30,000 - $50,000. Don't get me wrong i would gladly pay that to work with high caliber professionals in which it will decrease my risks and make success that much easier. Wouldn't be hard to make a return of investment at that point. However, yes the big however, majority of us did not have that $30,000 let alone $50,000. So then i figured there would be something like what they have online that i could use and i was wrong. Can't find anything. But i am not going to stop until its done even if i have to lose a few deals in the proces, however that is NOT what I  want to do. So my question is to anyone out there who has som experience in this field to help. I'm sure that after doin g tome deals you may have some templates of your own and it would be greatly appreciated if anyone and help, all type of contributions are welcome, even some advise. Thank you

  1. Hey,

I'm all for paying for expert advice, but $30K is not the first step you should take.

    Do this instead:

    1) Google "real estate investment groups New Haven, CT"

    2) Attend as many meetings as you can. Meet people and LISTEN

    3) Take investors to lunch

    4) Find a way to help someone who's doing what you want to do. Do their grunt work.

    5) Learn the steps from local investors first. Learn the basics first. Then invest in specialize systems (if needed)

    Anyway, best to you!
