Starting my journey in real estate investing
So, I'm brand spanking new to this. Real estate has been something my brother has been talking about a lot, and I started getting more interested in how the money I earn will work in the future. I got a little scared by what I found.
It's not really the taxes or the long hours I'll endure as a resident for four years. It's more about how I will most likely spend my earned money in the future if I have no plan. And a few months ago, I had no plan at all.
I came across The White Coat Investor online and bought the book. The author of this book became a millionaire by age 38, working as an ER doc as a military scholarship recipient like myself. I thought to myself "I want that." Doctors are often mistaken as rich. They're not. They are in debt and often - if without a plan - will live at their means or even above it hoping for a raise in the future.
I've been inspired by Rich Dad and a lot of Robert Kiyosaki's writing. So I want to start buying assets. I want to see the money I earn as a physician grow.
And so, here I am. After buying a bunch of BiggerPockets books and reading through Brandon's easy to follow guides, I decided I'll give it a shot. I'm still learning a lot, and I'm broke, but we all start somewhere.
I'm here for guidance, and to learn more about this stuff. I am excited to get started!
