Movin' on up (at least very slowly)

Hey guys, we’re back! It’s been a crazy month for both Marcus and I so sorry in advance for the lapse in posts. The last month have been filled with international travel and sickness (Marcus got the better half of that with a trip to Amsterdam. I only got the sickness). However we have made some progress during this time.

From a broker perspective, after talking to more than a dozen individuals we now have a few that we feel comfortable with. Better yet, we are now much more comfortable talking with brokers over the phone. Our first conversations with brokers were a bit awkward because we simply did not know what to ask. We also did know if we should that the stance of “Fake it until you make it”, or come clean and honest with the truth that we are beginners right now in this venture. I’ll elaborate more on this in my next post next week, but in short we took the latter approach and so far that has worked for us. I’ll explain later why.

The biggest plan for us now is March 31st, there will be a site visit to Atlanta. The details of that is still forthcoming and will be chronicled in a near future post.

I’ve never seen the Jefferson’s (inspiration for title) but the theme seemed to hit home while writing this. If there is anything I believe we have both learned is that it has been a much slower journey than expected. With the ramp up in work from both of us, free time has been hard to come by. But everyday little progress adds up, and that is what we are striving to do.

Any thoughts, feedback or advice to share as we keep chugging along?

Best,

Marcus and Chudi
