First day of "living the dream"

Well, I was officially introduced to my team today.  I really like the people on the team, and think that I will enjoy working with them!

Turns out I have more on my plate than I thought.  Not only with I be involved in acquiring properties (head of marketing), I will also be doing valuations on them (ARV calculations).  The math isn't that bad, in and of itself, but I'm finding it hard to find comps that give me a good approximate ARV.

I was trained today by the person who has been in charge of the ARV calculations, but I am still pretty lost.  I'm sure I'll get the hang out it though!  To add to the pressure, I am actually replacing the person who does ARV calculations, and also re-training our VA on a few things...

Needless to say, I feel a little overwhelmed.  BUT, I love real estate!  I'd way rather be worked up about how to get a good direct-mail campaign going then sitting behind a desk taking orders from a mircro-manager at some big corporate office.  I'm truly living the dream!
