Meet Your Local Community!

Meetups are an amazing way to learn more about investing in your area but probably not how you think.

Most people go to meetups looking for amazing content or some secret nugget that the presenter is going to give. You may find that but I've also found that when you don't pay for something it's harder to take it to heart. Masterminds and conferences can be a great way to get information and actually absorb it I've found.

What you will find at meetups that's invaluable are local investors who are doing deals in your area. Even the people you meet that aren't actively investing but want to can be extremely valuable.

I've lived by the saying, "your network is your networth" and have found it to hold true every time! You'll be surprised that some of the same people you see at masterminds and conferences actually end up presenting at meetups.

I can't tell you how many times I've been to a conference that I've paid to travel to, paid for a hotel, paid for a ticket and then I walk into a meetup where that same person is speaking for free at a local brewery!

In no way am I saying that meetups are a substitute for paid events but they are extremely valuable for an extremely low cost. It's like a book that you buy for $15 and get a $1 Million idea from. The investment is impossible to measure.

Make sure to attend local meetups and networking events so you can become a fixture in the community and get to know as many people as you can! You never know where you might get that next best idea, find a new partner, or even your next deal.
