So...Should I still invest in Real Estate in 2017?
Real estate is an incredibly interesting field and most people love calling themselves investors. Giving yourself the title as investor doesn't always mean that you have an amazing portfolio though, and that's what needs to be the focus of every investor... the right assets in the right areas at the right prices. As much as we'd love to believe, you can't be right 100% of the time. The goal is to be sure you're as close as possible to being right as many times as you can.
Real estate is and always will be a great investment - done properly. Always be sure to do your own due diligence on your own local areas and any area you decide on investing in. It's always best to find partners or mentors who are knowledgeable and have strengths in areas you aren't 100% confident in. The right team can make all the difference. The right partners and boots on the ground can expand your reach and increase the likelihood of creating the perfect environment that will create the portfolio you've always dreamed of.
Do your research, ask advice from area experts and seasoned investors and make sure you've got the right systems in place. As long as you have all of these things, any time can be the right time to invest. There are no stupid questions. Being afraid to ask a question you may think is "common knowledge" could cost you hundreds of thousands of dollars.
