The frustration... she's a killin me!

To say I'm... frustrated.. would be an understatement. Things should be easy, in my mind. Properties are for sale. I want to buy. My credit is good. I have a decent down payment. You have the money to lend. So lend it!

Stop with the.. "You're a new investor, and you're out of state." And?! So only seasoned, in-state investors should buy property?! Do I understand your position? Yes. Yes I do. But understand I also have an MBA, and two bachelor's degrees. I also spent nine years in the military. So I'm not just a 20-something who has no experience in running things.

Am I the first to hear this? No. Won't be the last. But when I'm trying to set my family's future up, it's a little infuriating. Needless to say, I've been in funk the last two weeks. I know our net worth, as I had to fill out a financial statement for pre-qualification, and it's decent. More decent than I thought. Our credit is excellent. And our debt-to-income is just fine.

I know this is a process. Like any sales job, I'm going to hear a lot of no's. But it also feels like I'm being told I HAVE to start a certain way, in a certain niche, in a certain area, THEN I can move to the adult table. The words "kiss my a**" came to mind and also slipped out of my mouth the other day. Thankfully they didn't. And I, instead, stated the reasons why the deal would work, as well as sent my analysis of the property and the profit to be made.

So please, stop saying no. You know you wanna. So just say yes and we'll both be the better for it!

Thanks for letting me vent internet. Now back to the deal making!
