How to Market Your Boat and RV Storage
Marketing your boat & RV Storage is a little different than your self-storage facility. If you own both, then you need to make sure that you are advertising them separately in addition to having separate websites. This is a different demographic that you are trying to reach.
You want people with nice, big, new boats and RVs to come to your park. This means that you need to have a lot of pictures of very nice, new, big boats and RVs on your website. If you are advertising old used boats and RVs, then that is who is going to store with you. You want to lure renters in with beautiful pictures.
As part of your advertising make sure that you show them how easy it is to store with you. This might be their first big toy. They may not really know how to drive it. You want to show them that you are the easiest place to store in town.
You need to show your potential renters how safe it is to rent with you. They just spent a lot of money on their new toy, they want to know that it is safe. Show them your security measures from your front gate to your fences. Talk about your extensive tenant screening process to reduce internal theft. Make them feel safe.
When you create your boat and RV website, you need to make sure that you target the people who are moving from out of state, the people who are moving from where they currently are, and the people who just purchased a band new boat or RV. Each of these demographics needs a little different type of marketing directed at them.
The person who is considering moving from out of state needs to know that you are the best boat and RV storage around. Tell them why yours is better than every other facility. For those that are considering moving from where they are at, explain all the reasons that your park is better than everyone else’s park, For the people that are trying to decide where to store their brand new boat or RV, show them how safe and easy it is to store with you.
Anytime that you do any kind of advertising, make sure that you have a call to action button. Don’t just put up pretty pictures and tell them why you are the best.
