Wealth building strategies: Proximity

Most people don’t realize I dropped out of college at 21.

At the time, I couldn’t put my finger on it, but the environment simply wasn’t for me.

Shortly after, I started a real estate venture to gain real-world experience.

I joined an office where I was surrounded by business owners who were earning multiple six-figure incomes, investing in real estate, and creating multiple streams of income.

If it wasn’t for the change in environment and surrounding myself with the right people, I wouldn’t be where I am today.

Proximity is power.

The most

important decision you’ll make in life is who you spend time with because that is who you will become.

I challenge you to raise your standards. Join a peer group that plays the game at a higher level than you. If you want to fast-track your success, you need to spend time with those who are already on the same path.

Personally, these are a few spaces I recommend so you can be in the room where growth is happening:

In-person Meet Ups. Network in person through MeetUp. There are people in your backyard who are on the same journey as you. Some of my closest friends I met at meetups. Attend a few meetings until you find the right group for you.

Conferences: I’ve invested more than $100,000 in conferences and the investment has returned tenfold. Every time I attend a conference, I gain valuable knowledge and meet someone who changes my life. Tony Robbins is having one in the fall that might interest you.
