KC Micro-Market Manifesto

First things first - My name is Ben and I just recently moved to Kansas City, Missouri earlier this summer. I am a newbie investor and my goal is to invest in buy and hold properties in Kansas City to generate cash-flow and to maximize the tax benefits associated with owning real estate and having a real estate business. 

The mantra of this blog will be "laser-like focus". The goal is to analyze small, micro-markets in Kansas City to create a clearer picture of what neighborhoods and areas are best for investing in. I want to take a deep dive into areas of Kansas City with the goal of determining whether they would meet the needs of an investor like me. In addition to this market analysis, I want to discuss my own journey and to shed a light on what is like to invest in Kansas City. I want to shine a light on the people, the community, and the world of real estate in this town.

I want this blog to also be a dialogue between me and the readers. If you have suggestions on topics to cover, ideas you think need to be discussed or just helpful tips you want to share please do so. 

Finally, I'm going to try and have fun with this blog. It is going to be as professional as it needs to be but at the end of the day if there are bad jokes included, so be it. Just know, you have been warned.
