Diary of a Gladiator - Feb 26, 2009

My head hurts! LOL

Garage door came in today. It is in process of being installed, as well as the final bit of siding on the top.

Here is a shot of some of the hardwoods we will be refinishing, and tile we can salvage.

Everyone was hard at work at finishing the demo and fixing up drywall repairs as needed. Some carpentry work was done, and the interior is well on its way now. You will also notice some plumbing work.

While I would love to be more creative and tell you some great stories, today was a smooth and wonderful day of rehab. Siding on the house is looking good, we had some patching to do and a few windows were installed as needed. We are still a day behind schedule, but looks like we will be able to make that up over the next few days.

The only speed bump today was that we found out our cabinets will not be delivered for another week, but we can easily work around that.

The guys even set some leaves on fire for me since I missed last nights festivities! As you can see, it is a HUGE yard!!!

Have a great evening everyone!

  2. Thanks for the kind words guys.... The house is on 3/4 of an acre. This is not our normal project, but the house has so much character, I could not resist.

  3. Keep sharing your progress with us, Harrison. BTW that really is a huge yard!

  4. Great job on this project! It's good to see peoples results! Keep it up.
