Kansas City Financial District
The center of Downtown Kansas City houses the Financial District. It is located roughly by Ninth Street to the north, Oak Street to the east, and Baltimore Avenue to the west, and Interstate 670 to the south. To see a general outline of the district, check out the picture below. The red box highlights the district. The blue dot is roughly where our office space, the Scarritt building, is located. The location of our office building allows clients to see the history of Kansas City, economic possibilities, and experience some of Kansas City's culture.
The neighborhood houses most of the city's largest offices and headquarters of some of Kansas City's influential financial institutions. Additionally, the area holds a lot of history and great architecture. Our office building which is housed in the Scarritt Building and Scarritt Arcade was built in 1907. The building was originally designed by Root and Siemens and is known for its striking architecture. The architecture throughout Downtown Kansas City spans from Art Deco to international, modernist, and post modern architecture. The area is home of many different skyscrapers. Because of this, the view at night is beautiful. Many of the buildings have lights that illuminate the different buildings, sky scrapers, and city.
