How To - Find A Good Tenant - Background Check - Part 2

Now that your agent has found you several applicants to choose from, you have to know what to look for to give yourself the best shot at a good tenant. A good agent will be able to pull a credit check as well as criminal history report. Different locations will have different tolerance levels for what a good candidate will most likely look like. There are particular red flags to look out for when pulling those reports and reviewing the application and people should not bend from their rules to accept a tenant. Those flags should be able to be reviewed by an competent management company or agent you are working with. Some areas are more grey such as what is an acceptable credit score or if there are negative inquiries on the report, what caused them.
