Hard Money Bankers - Business Hardened

This is a term that makes me think of old grizzled landlords that have been in the game for 30 years. The nicer word to describe being 'business hardened' is EXPERIENCED. I always suggest that people new to real estate investing look to speak with business hardened individuals. These are people that have been in the game for a decade or more. They will usually be quite humble and have a very efficient business model that works for them. They were able to develop this model over time and stay in the game because it works. Experience and time in this game usually come hand in hand with making money. Look for people like this to learn from. They usually don't have all of the bright lights, bells and whistles from fake gurus that seem to pop up daily. They have seen the market turn and survived. They have seen the market climb and made a fortune. Look for time in the business as an indicator pointing to someone you should grab a cup of coffee with.
