Hard Money - Construction Draws
A common question about hard money is "How does the construction draw process work?". In a traditional hard money loan, the construction budget is put into escrow when the loan closes. From there, upon completion of certain bench marks in the project, an inspector would normally verify the work and than that portion of the funding would be released. Hard money lenders like to disburse in phases because it allows the improving value of the property to move at the same speed as the improving condition of the property.
