Property management is a lot hard to do correctly than most people believe. A lot of people are under the impression that it is just about collecting rent once a month and that's all. The truth is, there are a ton of moving parts. Before ever becoming a landlord, I would suggest asking yourself if you intend on self managing or using a 3rd party management company. If you use a 3rd party company, make sure you choose the right one. If you don't choose and experienced and competent management company that has well oil systems in place, then you are going to make this a lot harder than you wanted.
