Company Culture - Why It Matters

I used to not think culture was important because "everyone goes to work to make money and do their job." Quite frankly this was narrow minded and not the best approach to building a successful company. It really wasn't until partnering with Hard Money Bankers and TCS Mgt that the view of that changed. Both companies individually had their own culture. The people were different, the type of business was different and the day to day was different. They both had something in common though, the people that worked their loved to work there. Both companies built an environment that was fun, a home away from home and with talented individuals that wanted....to go work. What I saw was that it wasn't 'work' anymore. It was actually where people chose to want to go. When people that work at a company are happy it trickles down into the service they provide and ultimately the clients are happy. It is not easy building a culture like this, but when you find it, don't let anything jeopardize it.
