The Big C - Character

When underwriting a deal for funding there are a few boxes that have to be checked off and one of them is character. You will also find in any kind of transaction you are doing that someones character is very important. It will determine how well the current transaction will go as well as how long you will have a relationship with the person. Character includes items like responsiveness, integrity, being punctual, a sense of awareness etc. It is hard to measure what character is, but after you have done enough transactions, you are able to tell pretty quickly if the person you are dealing with has the right character to establish a long term relationship with you.
