Pain = Change - Hard Money Bankers

This is a bit of an abstract concept but if you stop and think, you will find that most of the largest changes in your life have come when you were in the most pain. This doesn't mean physical pain as much as it means discomfort in a life situation. You might have a job that you dread going to every day. At some point , if you are uncomfortable enough in that job, you will make a change and go to a new job. Where this concept tends to get tricky is when someone thinks they are in enough pain to make a change but they really aren't. Sometimes people want to leave the corporate world and start investing in real estate. What they find is that they have been telling themselves they are going to make the move now for several years. They keep talking about doing it, but never quite do it. One reason is possibly because they are not in enough pain. When it comes down to it, they have a pretty decent corporate job that provides a moderate lifestyle and doesn't force the person say 'Enough is enough, I am getting out of this'. Middle America is fantastic at keeping people in such a position. The person believes they want to make a life change, but most will never do it. Recognize your own pain thresholds and how to use them to your advantage when embracing a life change. There is nothing wrong with being in an uncomfortable position as long as you know when to make that change to get out of it. You will learn the greatest life lessons when you go through your toughest times.
