Hard Money Bankers - Relationships Matter

Developing strong relationships with good people seem to have become a secondary priority in the business world for many people. This is clearly due to the internet and technology increasing the gap between human interaction and efficiency. Don't get me wrong, I love the fact that we can do 1000x more work in a shorter period of time because of email, the internet and smart phones. The problem is that technology is still a tool being used by and end user. The input and decisions being made are by people. People do business with people they like, so stepping outside the screen and meeting people is very important. There are lots of subtle cues and ideas that can blossom by interacting with people. These new found observations or forward thinking ideas would have been missed over a smart phone. We like to deal with people that can look us in the eye, give a firm handshake and do what they say they are going to do. It would be impossible for me to determine the caliber of person I am dealing with if I never meet them and spend time getting to know them. There are things that a credit score just can't tell you.
