Real Estate Investing Is a Contact Sport

Real Estate Investing Is a contact sport. The reason I say this is you have got to get comfortable with building and developing relationships with others. You can read all the right books and attend all the trainings in the world, but they wont do you any good if you are not out in the real world talking to people selling properties and potential buyers looking to buy real estate. Today we can get so caught up with the latest technical device or new software that we get distracted and forget real estate investing is a contact sport. Nothing that you can do is more important than building relationships. Master this first and the rest will fall into place in growing your business.

  1. I totally agree with you, Desmond. Technology is a great tool to help with certain aspects of the business including building relationships. We will always have to interact with others in the end, however.

  2. Desmond -- great post! Yes, there is a lot of great training and tools out there but it really comes down to relationships. The more relationships you have, and the deeper and more mutually trusting they are, the faster and bigger you'll grow as an investor. Great insight here from you -- never stop connecting with others, Desmond!
