One Data Point is not a Trend but …
So I just heard from one of my REO agents. She indicated that this past week she was given 20 REO properties where she rarely saw more than 2 or 3 a week the past 6 months. She also expects more next week in a short week.
I don’t know if this is a trend yet but the backlog might finally be hitting the market.
Curious if you are seeing an increase of REO’s in the MLS in your market.

Great question Joshua, I've hear lenders and institutions have been stalling on short sale offers and opting for foreclosure to minimize their loss. Listing these properties could be some of that and/or preparation for the spring market which, if consumer interest is high as some predict, would be an indicator of increased activity, prices, and sales. Please if any of you are close to this, as Joshua mentioned - Does this look like a trend to you?

I'd definitely be interested in hearing if this is a trend or just an isolated event.
