About me and why I started this blog.
So to get things started and to give everybody an ideal of where I’m coming from I will introduce myself and why I created this blog in the first place. While I have never wrote a blog before I have noticed that Bigger Pockets is an amazing source of information and I would like to share my experience throughout my journey of reaching my goal of 1000 rental units by the time I’m 40. Also want to use this blog as an accountability partner for myself since while having this goal to myself is nice I know that once you share a big goal with a larger amount of people you will work much harder to make sure you reach it.
Ok about me I’m a 27 year old that is a leasing professional in Chicago, IL and currently working towards getting my broker’s license to further my career in real estate and to have the ability to buy and sell my own investments. Been renting apartments now for two years in the city and while I really do enjoy the job I started to think about all of the money I was making the landlords’ by finding them good tenants and I have been interested in real estate for the last 3 years so I decided I wanted to be on the other side of the table. This resulted in me doing a lot of reading on how to create a Business, Tax strategies, and Real estate investing in general. Leading me to the common problem most face which is trying to learn everything before starting.
One of the most important things I have learned over the past two years in real estate and in life in general is the mindset that you have there have been plenty of books that focus on this. Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill is a book I would recommend everybody to read and study since the knowledge in that book can apply all aspects of life. Another book I would recommend is Success throughout a Positive Mental Attitude which is a book also written by Napoleon Hill and W Clement Stone has really had a significant effect on my mindset and how I look to approach everything in my life since I have read it.
There it is my first blog post while I know I have a long way to go in terms of my writing skills and grammar that’s another thing that I will be looking forward to being able to come back on and see how I have progressed over the time that I have been writing this blog. If you have any thoughts or ideals on what you would like to read or how I can improve the blog to better engage everybody that reads this please send me a pm or a comment and I will gladly accept everybody’s feedback.

Good first step Nick.
Looking forward to your next post. My goals are somewhere around 50-250 units. It's more based on cash flow. I've got a first goal of $5-10k/month, and a second goal of 25k/month.
Eager to hear how you're going to be working towards those 1000.

Thank you for your kind words. Keep your head up as well getting into investing in real estate might not be easy but is worth all of the hard work it will take to make it. Yes it would be great to met up and celebrate once we have reached our goals.
While it is a lofty goal small goals don't force you to grow like big hairy audacious goals do haha. The next couple of posts i'm going to share my break down of how i plan to reach the goal of 1000 rentals and what my freedom number is.
