Who am I?

My name is Edwin Vela, for years before I started investing all I did was read about investing until I got tired to see great deals passing by my desk.  I grew up in El Salvador a small country in Central America I came here when I was 15. Thanks to my mother for her support in my childhood years. I have two sisters 22 and 26 and me being the only boy and older brother you know the responsibility of being the leader and helping your little sisters to make the right decisions.   I never met my father and grew up in the middle of a cold war after my family had lost pretty much everything, pigs, cows, corn fields etc.   When I first came here and observed most of my family and friends of my family I knew I had something bigger to do for my own self and the only way to be able to help my family was not only to work my ass off but to do something challenging that when I accomplish those goals I will not only have lots of money but to be the source of motivation for others to follow.  

I started working as a telemarketer back on 2005 when I was in college and after getting beat up at a gas station that I used to work when they tried to rob the Cashier. Luckily for the owner I was there to stop them with my face and they ended up letting me go because of the danger of being attacked again if any one of those good guys got arrested.  Believe me things do happen for  a reason after  I left there I started working at PF Changs a Chinese restaurant and I friend of mine came to eat there and told me if was interested on working with them as a telemarketer.  That's where it all started. I got my hands on every sales book I could possibly buy.  I did great until 2008 when everything that I though was eternal collapsed.  I had to reinvent myself and continue moving with the market and started working helping homeowners save their homes through short sales and modifications.  I was then working with realtors, investors, attorneys helping them with their processing and started getting great deals and passing them to other investors.  It was at that time where I called 3 of my friends from my early mortgage days and put 25k each and bough Our first deal.   I still remember like if it was yesterday holding a check for 120k profits I made 30k with my 25k and We did that 3 times over and after that We went separate ways and now We still work together on some deals but I have been establishing my relationships with other investors that invest on my projects. 

Last year as a group We did 13 deals and on my own I did 6 deals each bringing an average of 60 to 80k.   This 2016 will be the best one of all those past years because now I have tested my formula many times over and I now know what has worked and what hasn't. If you are new to this journey please do not lose motivation know it will not be easy but if you really want to succeed please keep going You will come across two kind of people. One that will help you and other that will screw you know that you must be prepared for anything and never, never do business without making sure you are protected ad if you dont know something make calls to people that may know the answer you seek. You will come across people like me, that will help you along the way because I need you to become what you want to be and that way We can establish strong relationships.
