Newbie-ginnings

In life, we must all pave a unique road to success, based on our interests and our passions. As it turns out, for me, that passion lies in real estate and investing (and blogging). I was introduced to real estate by my father who gifted me a copy of Robert Kiyosaki's Rich Dad, Poor Dad for my 18th birthday. Unfortunately, I kept putting it off, it didn't interest me much and I didn't read it until i turned 20. While some would regret not having started the book earlier, ( I mean, who knows where I would be now if I had), I don't regret it for a second. From the day I was gifted the book to the day I finished reading it, I learned things that helped me grasp the book's content in a way that I don't think I could have done two years prior.

Even though in this case it was unintentional, it's a lesson learned, that sometimes rushing into things, isn't the best way to go. In those two years, I looked into so many different careers, different courses, different paths, and not one was as appealing as the real estate market. I did a lot of research and tried many different things but once I read Kiyosaki's book, a new interest- a new passion- was born.

I'm dedicating my first blog post to new beginnings and discovering one's passion because I believe finding out what makes you happy and learning how to apply that is the key to success. That is the reason I started my blog by discussing my introduction to real estate. My goal is to become a skillful real estate investor, and to have purchased my first property by the summer of 2016.

My progress, my downfalls, my mistakes and my successes will all be recorded on this blog, to serve as a guide not only for myself but for anyone who is interested in joining the community of real estate investors.

  1. As my favorite quote says, there is always a right time for everything, sometimes you have to  make it, but sometimes you just need to wait for it. Best of luck with your Real Estate Investing Career.
