A brief history and first mistakes
RE Report for 12-04-2015.
I bought my first property in May 2006. HUGE MISTAKE. Long story short, the bank refused to foreclose on it and city eventually tore it down. I graduated from the University of Memphis in 2010 with a BBA in Finance. I've worked a few sales and marketing jobs but currently I do data analysis for a REIT.
Listening to the BiggerPockets podcast for about 3 weeks, now. I started at episode 1 and I'm currently in the 60's (62, I think). I think I've psyched myself up enough to get my feet wet.
Having set up a BiggerPockets account las week, I made my very first post in the New Members forum. Within minutes I received my first communication on BP!! I was so excited to open my inbox but then a terrifying, gut check moment. It was an administrator getting on to me about including my personal contact information in the body of the post, not in my signature.
Really?! I had screwed up just trying to introduce myself to everybody? This does not bode well for me. I'm going to lick my wounds and lay low. Will report back soon.
Over and out,
Ben
