Things Change So Fast Offshore
One of the rules of the company that I work for is we can only have a maximum of 28 days offshore at a time. Once we reach the 28 days, we have to be back on land for 3 full days to reset our 28 day clock. With all the weather delays we have been having, this first offshore trip will run over the initial 14 days scheduled, but also it is very realistic that we will run over the 28 days we are allowed to be out. So they have decided to change all of the Client Representatives (7 of us) out for time off. The chopper is scheduled for Sunday the 17th and I will have about a week home before I have to meet the vessel back in Mobile, AL for the next trip out.
This timing could not be more perfect. The closing on my first property is scheduled for the 20th and I will be able to make it. Then I can grab the keys, put the lock box on the house and take a look at what I purchased. I'll start scheduling contractors now so I can meet with them during my time home and get estimates done.
I will also be able to send out the other 1000 postcards that are sitting in my car in Alabama. I only got 1 call from the first 1000 I sent out, but it was a good one since it got me a deal.
