My Plan is Starting to Form

Today was a good day for working towards my real estate career. I have learned so much in the past couple weeks just listening to the BP Podcasts. It's a wealth of information and if you haven't started listening to them, I highly suggest it. I have blown through about 30 of them during my drives.

Eventually, I will need a website and when I do, I will need links to that site so I can have my SEO in place. I started a Facebook business page (unpublished) and a twitter account. I am also visiting other real estate investment sites to get an idea of what I need to have on my site. I will eventually have to make a decision on whether I want to build my website myself or pay someone to do it. It's a hefty investment, but everything I've listened to and read says they are worth their weight.

I completed Unit 3 in the Texas Real Estate Principles I online today.

Signed a contract with a designer for a mascot for my site. I want to have something that's memorable and quirky.

My business plan is slowly forming the more I research, learn and listen. The short summarized version is:
Wholesale using drive for dollars and mass mail marketing.
Use the money from the wholesaling to buy and hold rental properties.
This is an incredibly simplified version. I will have the detailed plan written by the end of December and my plan is to have my first rental property bought by the end of January. I will have the cash to do that by then.
