Still Fighting/ Trudging Through my first DEAL!
I have been feeling quite "busy" lately. I did not stop to think that tearing down walls in a 135 year old house may add a bit of time and money to the initial scope of work and projected completion date. Well, I have been thinking about it recently to say the least!
I recently hit a wall: no more cash for labor. We have 90% of the materials purchased, but the little odds and ends keep adding up. I wanted to have the larger side of the duplex ready for rent January 1st. I am a bit sad to say that it may not be until Feb. 1st.
As much as it stings at times, I am very blessed. Yes, I did aim to have this project done months ago. But I didn't know what I didn't know. Even after scouring and absorbing forum posts/ articles on BP, talking to people at REIA meetings, listening to hours and hours of podcasts... it wasn't until I experienced that moment of "Oh no, there is only $50 left in the bank account and we have a kitchen that isn't finished," and I felt a little sick to my stomach, did I really learn some life lessons. I had to feel the sting.
But the good news is we are still making progress. There is work getting done and it is so close. In the midst of all of this, I have been going through the process of obtaining my RE license. God is good. Life is so good. If you're struggling with one of your properties/ tenants/ businesses, hang in there! I firmly believe with all my heart that this business is for those who never give up. And I am not about to give up. Have a day!

hey if it's easy, everybody on this planet earth would be rich. Remember that. RE is no easy money but with consistent and persistent, you will be surprised as time goes on
