England, UK users
As I write this, I have just triggered the spam filter for sending out so many colleague requests.
I think that this is a problem: not the spam filter, I completely get that. I have seen sites without it and OMG!
What I mean is that the lack of a large RE investment community in the UK is a problem... for me.
You see, I have dreamed of owning houses and hotels and appartment blocks since I was 12. No joke, I drew out what i would have my first hotel look like, I still know where I would have it, how much I would charge for each room per night, etc. That was how much impact this original dream had on me.
But looking at this site, I see how non-social we are over here. Not anti-social, but we have a mentality of 'every man is an island' type of thing going on.
Tomorrow afternoon I have an interview in the west midlands for a job. A good job, one I really want to get because it will help me to start working towards my dream.
One other big help will be creating my network: my 'tribe' as i have heard it described. I already have people around me who believe the same things i do about work, i have a relationship tribe, i even have people who will support me as i burn the candle working 10 hour manual labour days, revising for my second uni degree, setting up my own business(es) and all while looking for better work, which i am eternally grateful for and love them for.
But me? No. I need to achieve my dreams.
I feel that the best way forward for me is to build a network similar to my enterpreneur network, a group of people with the same aim in mind. Much like biggerpockets itself, but in microcosm, focused on the UK grouping.
Ok. Enough of my rambling. I accidentally turned up to the manual labour job 5 hours early, so I am going to get some zzz's on the couches downstairs.
If you're in the UK, feel free to connect, we'll talk.

Hi, Have you managed to find any UK focused resources for property investing? Everything that I find online seems to be about US real estate.
