Alabama Redemptions and Improvements
I have a new free article on my website, with guidance for the Mandatory Binding Arbitration process to establish the value of post-sale improvements after an Alabama tax sale, sheriff's auction or foreclosure.

I am in need of some advice if possible.. I just got my first tax sale certificate may 23 2017 and the owner sent me the redemption papers in the mail i went ahead and sent the invoice of the improvements and cleaning of the property that we had already gotten done so far and also waited a week to hear back from the original owners.. They picked up the invoice of expenses from the PO box via signature and i haven't received any notice or payment of redemption and did not sign the papers of redemption that they mailed me because i have not received anything back regarding my invoice. Is this the way to go or am i missing something because all of a sudden today their maintenance guy came over trying to put a lock box on the door saying they were unaware of tenants already on the property and that he would let his boss know but they haven't paid me back my tax sale expenses and their maintenance guy was told that we took possession of the property a few weeks ago.. Are they suppose to be advised if i rent out the property? and then to top it off i get a call about ejectment if i don't get the tenants out.. can they do this without me signing the redemption papers they mailed me? do i have a time line after they mail the redemption papers?
