My first step/Why real estate?

My interest in Real estate stemmed from a time in college when I was lost. I loved studying business, but I just could not seem to pick a major. I loved excelling at my internships but there was something that I knew I was not happy about.

As I began my Senior Year at the University of Cincinnati, I began to reflect on what career path would truly make me happy. From my years of being a DJ at local bars and clubs, I realized I am an extrovert and enjoy entertaining people. From a T-shirt start-up I had in high school with my friend, I realized I take great pride in creating something myself. And finally, from traveling southeast asia with one of my best friends, I realized that I really enjoy traveling.

My next question was to figure out how I could continue to do what I love while building a career. I began to look at jobs, and entrepreneurial pursuits, and through this search Real Estate kept popping up as a career in which I still have a lot of autonomy, and still have the ability to do what I want.

Diving further into my research and finding blogs such as this one, attending some free seminars, and fully utilizing my universities library collecting, I decided that this is a career that I can truly excel in.

I have formed a business, “Scholar Homes” which mission is to provide safe, quality housing for University students and young professionals in the Cincinnati area. I strive to make a positive impact on my tenants and the neighborhoods that they inhabit. This blog will highlight my trials and tribulations of my real estate journey.
