Episode 6 -- The Burnout
Burnout as in tired and sick. And to be fair I’m not crying or complaining, just stating facts. I’ve been fighting a cold all week and work has been rough. So far, I have taken time to write my blogs and actually try to communicate my ideas. This one though is going to just be a straight report.
I’ve been continuing to attend the RE prelicensing classes and have been absorbing huge amount of information. I listened to the podcast but sparingly as I feel I am rather inundated with too much RE information. I feel as though I need to take a breather and let the information trickle in instead of cramming like I’m taking a final or something.
That said my progress to get prefinancing approved has come to a halt. It turns out I’m quite leveraged out. In the coming weeks, hopefully I can find some time to talk to some portfolio lenders. After that my plan is to go straight into direct marketing and pursue absentee landlords. I still have a lot of homework to do and it’s quite hard to fit it all into my current schedule.
That’s all I have at the moment. See you next time.

What do you mean you are leveraged out? How many mortgages and properties do you own?

@Thang CaoThis will be a challenge for you, but it sounds like you have the right approach. As @Brandon Turnerlikes to say, pick that one thing to focus on and make it your mission. As long as you are focused on that one thing that will get you toward your goals, you can let everything else simmer at most.
Focus on getting your license, since that seems to be overwhelming you right now when you add everything else to it.
Then you can focus on that next step. Maybe you can find a seller who'd be interested in financing you? But don't let yourself get pulled into too many directions! You can do it!

Fight through it, @Thang Cao. It isn't always going to be easy, but if you can work through the tough times, you'll be stronger for it.
