What’s Happening in San Diego’s Real Estate Market?

Within the first month of 2024, the San Diego market has seen a lot more buyer activity as well as increased supply numbers for both single family detached homes as well as condos/townhomes. The Spring market looks good!

New Listings for Single Family Houses were 1,484 compared to 1,425 last January - up about 4.1%.

New Listings for Condos/Townhomes at 933 compared to 811 last January - up about 15%.

Days On Market for Single Family Houses was 37 compared to 43 days this time last year

Days On Market for Condo/Townhomes sits at 34 compared to 40 days this time last year.

Closed Sales for Single Family Houses were down about 5.5% compared to this time last year.

Closed Sales for Condos/Townhomes was up about 11.9% compared to this time last year.

Note that the biggest trend, house sales, compared to this time last year are down slightly, but condo/townhomes sales are up. Days on the market are less, indicating that demand is still very much there. So, let’s get busy matching up buyers with sellers, and helping provide home financing where needed!
