The Importance of Clear Communication with Tenants

Good communication with your tenant

It is important to make yourself available to your tenants via either phone email or other forms of communication when they need something. You want your property managed in a way that leaves the tenants feeling like the property managers have their best interests at heart.

Set expectations in the beginning so they tenant knows exactly how to communicate with you as the landlord.

Responding to tenants in a timely manner is important.

Make a policy to respond to all tenant inquiries within a certain time frame such as 24 hours. As a property management company, the complaint we receive the most is “I can’t get in touch with my landlord”. Make sure your tenant has several ways to contact you available. They should also have an idea of when to expect you to get back with them.

Clear communication helps make many things smoother and easier in the future. Your tenant will be happier and stay with you longer.
