Use it, we need it!

Being a real estate agent and sometimes not knowing the area is a little stressful. You don't want to give false information or make the buyer seem that it's a great place to live but you really don't know much about it. I've been logging on to this site called CheckMyNeighborhood.com. Here is the direct link http://www.checkmyneighborhood.com/frmLoginSignIn.aspx It gives you information form the people that live in the area. I use it to advertise my listing and I have my clients write information about their street in order for buyers to read reviews from the people that live in the area.

I attach the reviews to my listing on craigslist. People like to read about the neighborhood before they actual move there. I also ask my clients if they can tell their friends and family to write a review. I notice that the more reviews it has the more offers I get.

Just wanted to let other agents what other things are out there. The market is not the same, we must use every free advertisement.

GOOD LUCK TO ALL!

  1. I haven't checked out the site yet, but this post isn't new so maybe the site is cranking by now. It certainly sounds like a very good idea. We are often put in that uncomfortable position to have to express what really is an opinion on the neighborhood. This gives us a good option like some of the websites we can give clients regarding schools.

  2. I just saw the site and decided to talk about it. I think it will help those that need to sell their homes. I've written stuff for some of my friends who are trying to find another place to live. It helped one of my friends get offers from people by just reading the street reviews.

  3. It doesn't look like that site has much content yet. Are you affiliated with it in any way?
