Ditch the Gmail Account
I can't believe how many people are using yahoo, gmail, or other email accounts for their business emails. If you want to show credibility, you really need a URL for your business, with a business email address. While I know its convenient to check Gmail on the road, etc, it just shows to me you are not serious when you can get a hostgator site for $5 a month, a domain for $10 from godaddy, and set up a real email address and appear as a real business.
You can also forward those emails to your Gmail account if it helps in accessing from one site, though I would be interested in feedback from other members as to their thoughts when they see people using gmail accounts for business.

I am now using Google apps and we are running our company emails through Gmail, so its the best of both worlds! You just look that much more professional with a domain name email vs a free email. Just my 2 cents, thanks Gary!

Adding to this, you can use the URL for your email address only, you do not have to have a website as well. Some ISP's will allow you to have thousands of email addresses, so you can personalise email as well as expand business emails when you employ someone. GMail is great for personal life but I agree with Christopher, it not really professional.
