Yellow Letter Mailing Follow-Ups

Mixed results, low response.  That's par for the course from any mailing I've ever done.  In any business - my retail business to the real estate business.  But I will keep banging away and see if the results improve.  The first mailing I sent got one phone call from a distressed person but not a seller - see my mobile home blog.  The second mailing received one phone call also and it was not pretty!  The lady threatened me with arrest and to mind my own business and to never step on her property ever again.  The funny thing was that this contact was a Driving for Dollars absentee owner - this was a run-down property that I noted on a drive (never stepped on her property, btw) and found the owner via tax records and mailed her in a different town.  She received my letter and promptly called me back yelling at me on my voice mail.  That is a fun one to share at the office party.  One other call I got back on the 2nd mailing was from a potential investor who asked me to take her off the list as she would be unable to invest and wanted me to save time and a stamp.  That was nice of her!  So I have two more rounds of mailings to go.  I will continue to mail the Driving for Dollars homes but I think I may discontinue the investor list for now.  The local REIA is very active and I will start attending that meeting next week and see how that fares.

Ciao for now...

Doug
