Why Lumber is So Ridiculously Expensive Right Now

Turns out supply and demand is undefeated.

Supply of lumber is down because of the reduced capacity of lumber mills during the lock-downs and trade conflicts with Canada while demand for housing is up due to less-than-normal building after the 2008 financial crisis and a slowdown in construction once again caused by the pandemic.
