In the United States, Valentine's Day is celebrated on February 14th of each year. It originated in Rome and has been celebrated for over 1500 years. It is not a national holiday, but a day celebrated in numerous countries around the world. It is also one of the most universally recognized and prominent days of the year. It is a day where people show their love for one another through various acts of kindness. It is a celebration of passion, affection, and romantic love. There are many symbols used to show the essence of Valentine's Day; red roses, cupid, and champagne just to name a few. Cupid, who is the spirit or the representative of Valentine's Day, is usually portrayed as a small child like figure possessing a bow and arrow. In mythology, he uses his arrows to make people fall in love.

If you are married or in a long-term committed relationship, it is a great day to rekindle your love for your spouse or partner by sending them a card, flowers, chocolate, or a special gift. Many individuals take their loved ones to a romantic meal, often accompanied by candlelight, roses, and possibly a long enchanting walk.

But, the question is how you can make this Valentine's Day special for you and your loved one. The following are some ideas that will help you make this Valentine's Day one that both of you will remember. The first thing to keep in mind is that the best kind of gift you could give your significant other is an unexpected one. The less they know the better. If you send your loved one flowers or chocolates to their place of employment, it may surprise them and give them feelings of joy and happiness. When you display your affection for your spouse or partner openly, it shows them your commitment and appreciation of them. If you have children, finding a babysitter and making reservations at their favorite restaurant for a special night out, may make this day special and memorable. If taking your spouse or partner to dinner is not an option, there are other ways you could show them your affection. In the morning, tell them you love them and give them a kiss.

Although, you might want tell your significant other you love them and kiss them every day, not just on Valentine's Day. You can send them a thoughtful message during the day. It could be as simple as "Happy Valentine's Day, I was just thinking of you". A heartfelt card, a single rose, a long and embracing hug, or a passionate kiss are other ways to show you truly care for your loved one.

Valentine's Day is the one special day of the year, where you should rekindle passion, reignite a relationship, and go out of your way to show your spouse or partner that you love them. Hopefully, this Valentine's Day is the best ever, for you and your loved one.
