Welcome Your New Year in Jackson, Mississippi

The First Baptist Church Jackson is having a ballroom dancing event from 8:00pm to midnight.  The Raphael Semmes Band will be the big entertainment of the night in the church's Christian Life Center.  Tickets are $75 for couples or $40 for individuals in advance and $85 for couples and $45 for individuals at the door.  This event also includes dinner.  Formal to semi-formal attire is required.  And they are asking that no one wear spike or stiletto heels.  For more information, call (601) 949-1949.

The Mississippi Museum of Art in Jackson is having a swanky black tie event complete with dinner and a cocktail party.  They will be having a sit-down dinner at 7:00pm and a cocktail party at 9:00pm.  There will be a classical guitarist playing at both events.  The dinner is $150.00 for museum members, $100 for general admission and $125 for VIP admission.  For more information, visit the museum website at www.msmuseumart.org.  Tickets cannot be bought at the door.

Welcome in your 2010 and even meet your soul-mate at the Jackson Area Christian Single New Year's Dance at the Lakeside Presbyterian Church in Brandon, MS from 7:30pm to 12:30am.  All singles are invited to come out and mingle with other singles and dance the night away as they celebrate the New Year.
