One Simple Habit Wealthy People Practice Every Day
I always have my eyes peeled for information that contrasts the rich and the low income. Partly because I have a heart for the low income, I want to understand the issue to figure out how to improve it. And partly because I want to be wise and wealthy myself, so I want to study up on those habits and characteristics.
So I enjoyed this article I came across on the BiggerPockets blog by Brett Lee.
One Simple Habit the Vast Majority of Wealthy People Practice Every Single Day.
Reading! 88% of the wealthy read thirty minutes or more each day compared to only 2% of the poor. The author suggests reading two investing or business books a month. This exposes us to a lot of information and experience that other people have already lived through.
I probably average one non-fiction book every two months, because I spend time in faith based material and I love “wasting time” on fun reads. One of my favorite thing to do is curl up with a book, especially as the weather turns dark and cold.
Happy reading!
Public safety message: I gave up my audio book habit after a sheriff gave a talk on distracted driving. Actively listening to a book where you don’t want to miss anything is way more engrossing than listening to the radio where you can zone in and out. Food for thought.
