Residents of 30A Luxury Homes Look Forward to Biggest Fishing Event
This year, the most anticipated big-game fishing tournament happens in Sandestin - The 2015 Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic. Tourists from all over the country and residents of 30A luxury homes will troop to the Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort on June 17-21 to witness this annual elite fishing event.
80 sport-fishing yachts will be carrying fishermen eager to catch some giant blue marlin, tuna, and wahoo to see who will bag the $2 million prize money.
According to Adam Alfonso, the tournament director, they are working hard to get everything ready for this event and expect lots of new teams, along with the past teams, to compete in this prestigious event in Sandestin.
Sandestin Golf and Beach resort is the perfect venue for this elite fishing event. Aside from its full-service marina and conference facility, the resort offers both tourists and residents of homes along 30A lots of options for entertainment, shopping, dining, and fun activities for the entire family to enjoy. Of course, the pristine beaches of 30A also attracts plenty of tourists as well.
On Friday and Saturday nights during the events, the Baytowne Marina is expected to be filled with spectators as the fish are weighed in to see who bags the prize. These weigh-ins are open nightly to the public.
Celebrate with the winners in an after-party event at Fat Tuesday in The Village of Baytowne Wharf, hosted by Yellowfin Gallery. On Friday night, the skies above homes along 30A near The Village will light up with a magnificent fireworks display.
The event starts on Wednesday, June 17 and boats will start fishing Thursday afternoon at 3:00PM all throughout Saturday. The weigh-in happens on Friday from 4:00– 9:00 p.m. and Saturday from 4:00 – 10:00 p.m. at the Baytowne Marina at Sandestin Golf and Beach Resort.
This year’s Emerald Coast Blue Marlin Classic will surely be another hit with residents of homes along 30A and tourists since warm waters and an ideal climate is expected as the best fishing crews compete for the prize.
