Seaside Half Marathon Mixes Fun with A Good Cause
For marathon enthusiasts, residents of 30A luxury homes, and anyone looking for good clean fun, head on to Seaside on Feb. 27, 2015 for the Seaside Half Marathon from 7:00AM-2:00PM.
Whether you're a runner, volunteer, sponsor, or guest for the weekend, your participation in the Seaside Half Marathon will be helping the students at Seaside Neighborhood School and the Seacoast Collegiate High School to have elective classes in gardening, music, art, technology, dance, an award winning robotics program.
The Seaside Half Marathon is also a great way for 30A luxury home residents and guests to enjoy cuisine from around 20 of the Gulf Coast’s top chefs, wine, beer, and spirits.
The marathon is open to all ages from 6 and above, with different age categories available for the Half Marathon and the 5K Run. To register for the Seaside Half Marathon click HERE.
To make the marathon a more fun and enjoyable experience for all, make sure to bring a blanket or chair for the party after the race and dab on some sunscreen!
All participants and guests are encouraged to come early. 30A closes at 6:00AM to all traffic. Parking is available at the Watercolor Publix on County Road 395. From the Publix parking lot, a shuttle is available every 10 minutes to take you to the starting line. Shuttles start running at 5am and are the easiest and most convenient way to get to the race with all the closed roads and huge crowds.
For the half-marathon and 5k run, the courses will start and finish in downtown Seaside. The course is mostly flat and fast. From Seaside, the racers will run West along scenic Highway 30A, past the beach towns of Watercolor, Grayton, Blue Mountain Beach, and Santa Rosa Beach, with the halfway point and turnaround at Gulf Place.
Volunteers and community groups will line the race course to cheer the runners and provide entertainment.
