New beginings

So,

this is my first blog. I don't know how to do one, so bare with me as I learn on the fly. My name is Everson Jr, I am new to the RE business. I currently run a used car dealership in White Hall MD called Automotive Authority. I will be leaving my full-time job and starting with real estate full time on May 1st. Lesson number 1, Don't leave your full-time job until you have some money stored up, I don't. I'm leaving based on, what I thought was the right thing to do.  I needed to make a change in my life, I took the first step in being an entrepeneur and thats big for me.  Real Estate has so money avenues to make money that I never even began to imagine! I started this whole proccess with Fortune Builders (GURUS) lol, I paid for the jumpstart program, this gave me an over view of the business. It got me to my first marketing campaign with the bandit signs. Got the business LLC, have some of their systems in play so now I'm ready........... NOT!!!!!! So much to learn!!!!!!!!! I know nothing about being an entrepeneur, and next to nothing about real estate, just the basics. So what do I do, try to network, which, what I must say is amazing!!! I'm starting to see who is doing it and who is not, I am not, let me be honest. So here, I am blogging, for the first time, "to go where you have never gone, you have to do what you never have done" I don't know who's quote that is but I like it. Okay sorry, my thoughts are all over the place, I just need focus. I've read the BP beginers guide and learned so much about my ignorance! I've come to terms that I have so much to learn! So I guess this is my first attempt into looking for a mentor. It's kind of tough, everyone says, just network and you'll find them. I can do just about anything, and would be willing to do anything just to be taught the ropes, clean, demo, birddog,  etc...... what do I do, put an add out. How do you truly know who is right to mentor? I've read that you have to find the one doing it in the field you want to be in and work from there. A little confused and really don't know how to start. I'm overwhelmed! I have 1 month of bills put away and I'm off on this new venture to change my life and my families life forever! I know this takes time, I'm just anxious to get started! I have bandit signs out in Harford County MD, some of you might have seen them, I've just worked up enough money to start my first Direct Mail campaingn, I'm shooting for absentee owners, haven't yet firgured out that one completely yet, but I'm working on it. Super excited about this RE convention this weekend!!!! GOALS>>>>GOALS>>>>GOALS>>> I used to write them all the time and guess I just lost focus, with life. I put my goals on paper and have them in my pocket. I'm curently listening to Rich Dad Poor Dad audio Cd (I'm not good with books, easier to listen and learn) and my way of thinking has completely changed as of yesterday, that is why I'm blogging today. Well that's all for today, don't know if this blog is good or bad, or even if this is what you're suppossed to do, but here it is. Any thoughts? Comments??

Thank You!
