Book Review -- "Simplify Everything"

I recently skimmed a book called "Simplify Everything:  Get Your Team from Do-Do to Done-Done with One Surefire Process" by Steve Epner.

The general concept of the book sometimes, good enough is okay.

This certainly applies to real estate investing.  How often on the forums have people talked about "analysis paralysis"?  One of my favorite paragraphs from the book is this:

"It may be a trite old saying, but the good is the enemy of the best. Just start reading, thinking, and getting things done. Get to a point where you have read enough to be confident and then try something. You will keep improving as you go. At every opportunity, you can make things better. More important, you will start seeing results. That is one of the wonderful things about a done-done world."

This is exactly the advice that is given over and over on Bigger Pockets!

When I started real estate, I didn't know everything there was to know.  I realize now that I made a few mistakes along the line.   And in the future, I will make additional mistakes.  But the fear of making mistakes doesn't stop me.  I just strive to be educated enough to minimize my mistakes.  I realize I'm human and the best I can do is learn from those mistakes and continue to grow.
