58 million searches and I'm #3
So I've posted an earlier blog about improving traffic to your site using BP. Here is the blog
I've been really happy with the results and it's been a lot of fun experimenting with new things, or at least new for me. I wanted to give an update to some results I've seen as of today.
My Squidoo page is the basis of the experiment. Now just for fair warning it contains affiliate links to vendors that promote product. The main link I chose was William Tingle and his Sub2 educational product.
The point of all this was I followed some simple tools that included writing a few blogs, some articles and promoted the site address through some social networking sites.
The results are out of 58 million searches on Google I've been able to make it to the #3 spot as of today. Thats right, if you google: subject 2 investing, you will find my Squidoo page in the 3rd place.
Now I know that's not as cool as the #1 spot, but for just experimenting with no real results expected you gotta admit that its pretty cool to make it there!

We have been on BP for 3 weeks and our site traffic is blowing up via BP! Good stuff!

So after all this time, the current results are I'm #6 out of 59.4 million searches. I'm right behind Sub2deals.com and Sub2magic.com which have been around for a long time. I also noticed that ezinearticles has a very high rating so I'll probably have a few articles written for me once my site is complete. As for now I think the experiment was and is a success and I'm very happy with the results. what I've learned is that with a little sweat equity and some decent SEO work you can place pretty high on search engines.

I've recently dropped to #5 which is fine by me. I haven't done any additional to maintain or improve my position. I'm completely happy with the results of the experiment and later on will work on improving.

Very nice, good post. I post all my blogs on Twitter. Although I haven't really measured my success. I've also started messing with that Linkedin.com. I'm still getting the hang of that one. Justin
