The Backstage Heroes Of Real Estate That Are Often Forgotten
We buy houses and then sell them. We buy houses and then rent them. We buy houses and then do the rehab and then sell them or rent them. Who are the people behind all the works before a turnkey house is even ready for occupancy? Here are just some of these people in our industry that makes life easier for us.
I know I haven't listed all of them however they need a special mention in my blog because without them a house will never be a home. (If you weren't mentioned above, do not take offense!)
Come to think of it, what can they do?
- 1. Of course, an electrician gives light to an otherwise dark house, that’s easy isn’t it but we take electricity for granted because it’s already there. However, what would life be without it? Life would be intolerable without electric power.

- 2. Bathroom and Kitchen Fitters, they replace kitchen units; sink drainer, etc., what an awful place would it be if the bathroom and kitchens weren’t properly fitted. Women would be the first to object, I can guarantee that.
- 3. Installers of Burglar alarms, there had been hundreds of reported burglaries all over the world and these installers saved millions of homeowners’ lives and possessions just by doing their job.
- 4. Glaziers repair broken & cracked glass in windows and upgrade to double glazed windows to keep you snug and conserve energy.
- 5. Drainage engineers unblock and repair outflowing pipes so our houses and gardens always smell sweet.
- 6. Loft Insulation guys help keep our homes warm and save energy costs.
- 7. Pest Controllers, in anyone’s home it would be difficult to live with creepy crawlies and rodents running amok behind the skirting boards and the crevices that you don’t like to look into.
- 8. Ground Maintenance, those who do the cleaning, tidying, trimming, etc. are parts of our everyday harmonious living. It makes our place more hygienic and tidy. Our garden and outside environment stays pleasing to the eye.
What else could anyone ask for if you have all these skilled people lined up and ready to do the job? They make life easier, orderly, and relaxing. They are all simply unseen heroes in the real estate industry, don't you agree? Thank goodness for their work!

Another backstage hero is the tenants themselves. Landlords may hate them and dislike having to fix all the damages between tenants, but who is paying for your bills to be paid? Who is paying for the mortgage every month? Who is allowing you to build a nest egg for retirement? Without the monthly cash flow of rents from tenants, investors would be out of business. It may be tough to accept by many, but investors should thank their tenants a few times a year!
