The Basics Of Home Buying

 http://www.reallynicehomes.com/blog/basics-home-buying/

The Basics Of Home Buying Are Simple But Many People Miss it!

The most important investment that you most likely make is probably the purchase of your own home. Finding the right home for you can be a long and complicated  process. . I can assure you , you can not do it alone!

My first advice as a broker that completed hundreds of real estate transactions is that you need to know your wants and needs before venturing out there.

Knowing Your Wants And Needs:

village homes What is the process?

Before taking off with a real estate agent going house hunting, you must know what you really want. My advice is to sit down with pen and paper and make a list all the features you care most about;

Location should be at the top of your list

- Size -- how many bedrooms and bathrooms do you need?

Style -- Condo? Townhouse? or maybe a 2-story colonial or ranch style home?

Schools -- Very important if you have children

Commuting Times -- Very important to measure the distance you must travel every day.

Equally important, lets look at the 'must haves" for you and your family?

What is important to you?

Having a dog park nearby?

Restaurants?

Tennis courts?

Living near a friend or a family member?

OK, lets look at what things you absolutely do not want in your new house. For example:

- high-traffic area is a big consideration here.

high noise area from nearby highways or an airport.

High Maintenance Obligations -- major repairs that you do not want to do or pay for it.

As you start working with a real estate agent, other parts are added to this list:

How is your credit?

Do you need to work on it?

Have you selected a loan officer?

A very important step to bypass disappointment.

My #1 advice to buyers is for them to realize that they will  most likely  not find the "perfect" home. You find a house. .and YOU MAKE IT A PERFECT HOME

If you are looking to purchase in MD, DC or Virginia,

I can assure you that our professional agents are dedicated in giving you the best service you deserve. .
